Portfolio - Showcasing Art by Azra Cetin
Artist Statement
I make installations and images that hold tension: between softness and pressure, intimacy and public space, memory and the present. I work with threads, nails, collage, paint, and moving image to build environments that ask viewers to feel before they analyze. My process begins with lived experience and expands into shared narratives around identity, resilience, and voice. I’m interested in how materials carry meaning, how a line of thread can map power, or how a looped animation can breathe inside a room, and in how audiences move through that space. I document my builds, iterations, and tests because process is part of the story I’m telling.
